Short-Term Program, or Additional Months:
Tuition and health care insurance fees for a short-term program, or additional months of study, are approved on a case-by- case basis. If approved, short-term program fees shall be pro-rated based on the annual international student tuition and health care insurance fees. To receive further information or a quote for short-term programs/additional months, please contact International Programs directly.
Additional Information
  • Spending money is not included in the above costs.
  • Students may purchase a bus pass each month through their school ($55/month 2017/18 rate).
  • Students registered in 30-level Diploma courses pay a $50.00 fee per Diploma exam (whether they are writing for the first time or rewriting).
  • Report card legalization is available upon request and costs $150 CAD. Please consult Legalization and Revalidation of Report Cards.
  • For health insurance refund policy, exact coverage dates and policy information, please consult Student Health Care.
  • International student tuition fees do not exceed the costs of programming as per the Alberta School Act.
Payment Information

Pay fees in Canadian funds. An invoice will be issued once an application has been received, reviewed and approved, including full payment details. Fees may be paid by:

  • Bank draft, money order, or certified cheque, payable to Edmonton Public Schools.

  • Wire transfer. Please e-mail isp@epsb.ca for wire transfer payment information or refer to invoice once received

Indicate clearly the name of the person paying the fees and to whom the receipt and any refunds should be made.

Refund Policy
  • Once students commence study in Edmonton Public Schools no refunds will be issued.
  • There will be no refunds issued for late arrivals.
  • There will be no partial refunds made available.
  • Refunds will be provided if the student:
    • is denied admission to Edmonton Public Schools
    • is unable to obtain a study permit
    • prior to September 30 becomes a Permanent Resident of Canada or the student’s parent obtains Permanent Residency, a Work Permit or a Study Permit (program dependent) valid for the duration of the student’s study program If a student's status changes after September 30, no refunds will be provided and the student's status shall remain as international for the rest of the school year.
  • All refund requests must be made in writing and will be provided to the original payer only.
