Tuition & Fees

 

Costs of study for international students

 

2020-21 and 2021-22

Application Fee
(one time only and non-refundable)
$250 CAD
International Student Tuition Fee $12,500 CAD per school year or

$6,250 CAD per semester (5 months)
Health Care Insurance Fee

$500 CAD (Sep - Jun)

$550 CAD (Feb - Jan for 2021 - 22 School year)

$275 CAD (Sep - Jan or Feb - Jun)

Validation Of Report Cards (Brazil,Colombia, Italy, Mexico and Spain) $150 CAD


 Studies for Less than One Semester:

Studies for less than one semester must be approved on a case-by-case basis. Tuition and health care insurance fees, if approved, are pro-rated based on the annual international student tuition and health care insurance fees. To request programming for less than one semester including a quote for the associated fees, please contact International Programs directly.


Additional Information

  • Spending money is not included in the above costs.
  • Students may purchase a bus pass each month through their school ($55/month 2019/20 rate).
  • Students registered in 30-level Diploma courses pay a $50.00 fee per Diploma exam (whether they are writing for the first time or rewriting).
  • Report card legalization is available upon request and costs $150 CAD. Please consult Validation of Report Cards.
  • For health insurance refund policy, exact coverage dates and policy information, please consult Student Health Care.
  • International student tuition fees cannot exceed the costs of programming as per the Alberta School Act.


 Payment Information

Pay fees in Canadian funds. An invoice will be issued once an application has been received, reviewed and approved, including full payment details. Fees may be paid by:

  • Wire Transfer
  • Bank Draft payable to Edmonton Public Schools

Indicate clearly the name of the person paying the fees and to whom the receipt and any refunds should be made.


 Refund Policy

  • Refunds will be provided if the student:
    • is denied admission to Edmonton Public Schools
    • is unable to obtain a Study Permit
    • prior to September 30th becomes a Permanent Resident of Canada or the student's parent obtains a Work Permit or Study Permit (program dependent) valid for the duration of the student's study program
  • Once students commence study in Edmonton Public Schools no refunds will be issued.
  • No refunds are issued for late arrivals.
  • All refund requests must be made in writing and will be provided to the original payer only. All refund requests must be sent to isp@epsb.ca.
